Black Hardcoat Anodizing Services of Aluminum Firearm Components
The firearm components shown here had a black hardcoat anodized coating applied because of its strength and durability demand. The components, which measured less than 12" in length, were manufactured from 7075-T6 & 6061-T6 aluminum. The anodizing process, which was in conformance with MIL-A-8625, Type III - Class 2 and MIL PRF-46147C, was performed using our dedicated grit blast department and rack hardcoating anodizing line.
The parts were initially prepped with media (grit) blasting, to ensure a non-reflective finish. This was followed by Hardcoat anodizing dying the part black and then a superior sealing process, which included various in process testing methods. We applied a dry film lubricant to the gun components where required. To learn more see the table below or contact us directly.
